See what needs to be ordered before it becomes a delay

Procurement rarely fails because someone forgot to buy something. It fails because the order was placed on time for the buyer and late for the programme. A purchasing list sorted by package cannot show that; a schedule that compares lead time to the date the work needs the material can.

Track procurement status

  • Package and item description with responsible buyer
  • Enquiry, tender, award and order status
  • Supplier and committed order value
  • Lead time and expected delivery
  • Approval or technical submittal dependency
  • Current status flag rolled into the Dashboard procurement tile

Monitor required-on-site dates

Each item carries a required-on-site date taken from the Execution Schedule. The workbook compares that date to the expected delivery, so slippage is expressed in the terms that matter on site — days of float remaining, not a percentage of the procurement list completed.

Identify late procurement items

Items without enough float appear on the Executive Dashboard as a procurement readiness count, next to the schedule and production scores. A director sees "2 at risk" without asking the buyer to prepare anything.

Connect procurement with project controls

Procurement decisions move cost and schedule at the same time. In CommandSites the procurement schedule shares a workbook with the cost breakdown, the execution schedule and the payment register, so committed value, delivery risk and cash position are read from the same data.
